In this busin…
In this business you have to stay current and busy working or be forgotten. Time and the media move so fast. The past 20 months I have been out of the loop and covering Tennessee Events I love so much. The people who are close to me know that my youngest Granddaughter had to have a kidney transplant. You find out quick who is sincere and who is not in such a time of crises. It was the country music community that jumped up and did two free concerts for my granddaughter Emily Marshall. They said yes without hesitation. Little Jimmy Dickens performed at the first benefit and the Time Jumpers performed at the next benefit with Charlie Daniels donating one of his fiddles. Little Jimmy Dickens made every woman in the place cry. Up until then I thought he just sang comedic songs. What a year.
I only covered two stories in Tennessee. One was <a href=” http://www.thunderontherock.net/”>Thunder on The Rock</a> I love bikes and photography, Music and just plain ol’ fun.
I had to cancel everything else. I know I let a lot of people down but I did what I thought was best for the family. Now I am back to work, pushing my way thru events to write the story that will change next year’s season. I am taking suggestion for events. If you have one, or a place you would like me to see drop me a line and let me know. Thank you for all the people who took the time to help me in our time of need. I keep saying God is good to me, just look where I live and work.
People did try to cover events for me. Then they found out it isn’t all fun. It’s hot or cold or snowing or just rain. Then if you don’t write the story and turn it in well what was the point of all that work. Everybody wants to go but no one wants to write.
If the world is going to end this year then let’s make it a damn good year, what’d ya’ say.
Once again thank you to all the Performers who came out and helped. All monies collected went into a nonprofit trust for medical bills.
